We have two types of small groups…

I. Home Groups

First, we have small groups that gather weekly around the Presence of Christ and always in the comfort of someone’s home. Since these groups purpose to be outreach-oriented, visitors are always welcome.

During these small groups there is time for:

• sharing (sometimes over a meal)
• worship in song
• Bible discussion (applying Scripture to our lives)
• prayer
• ministry
• reaching out.

We call this category of small groups, cell groups. Why “cell” groups? Because Scripture frequently refers to followers of Jesus Christ as the “body” of Christ. Taking that description of His followers a bit further…the smallest, functional unit in a body is a cell. There are kidney cells, skin cells, brain cells, blood cells, etc. We use Jesus’ relationship with His 12 disciples as our model.

II. Focus Groups

Second, we have small groups that meet weekly for a limited period of time (8-13 weeks), in someone’s home or at the church, and are focused on growth in a very specific area of our lives (called focus groups).
Due to the nature of how the material is presented in a sequential manner in these focus groups, once these groups have begun, they are closed to visitors.
